Tie a Gobiidae

No photo description available.

Ever heard of a Goby? Gobiidae are one of the largest families of fish, comprising more than 2000 different species and found in saltwater, freshwater, and brackish water environments. They are a common food source for Bonefish and the inspiration for Tim Borski’s namesake Slider.
The deer hair head of the Borski Slider pushes water, while the tapered profile imitates a range of small, bottom-dwelling baitfish, making it a versatile pattern for targeting not only Bonefish, but a wide range of fish including Permit, Redfish, and even Bass.
Learn to tie the Borski Slider for yourself tomorrow at the fly shop during our in-person Instructional Fly Tying Night! All materials and instruction are free of charge. Just bring your own vise and tools!
