Sept Club Meeting Sept 18th NOTE LOCATION CHANGE

Folks,

Trust all had a great summer.  It is now time to kickoff the 2024 – 2025 trout fishing season.
September’s club meeting will be held Wednesday, September 18th from 6 – 8 PM at the new Westside Community Center  Library.  Note the changes from the Main Library on Commons with the meeting being held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month.  These changes are necessary because the Main Library location on Commons will be closing early the week of the 23rd because of the County Fair.  Also they did not have availability at the Commons location on the 18th so we are booked at the Westside location.  This is the same location that the fly tying classes are held at.
The address for the Westside Community Center Library is:
29101-35 Frontage Road
New Braunfels
We will use this meeting to catch up from the summer months.  Folks can share with the club what they did over the summer, fishing trips, etc.  We will also be discussing the LAP process, Holdover Tournament, Troutfest, Youth Camp and other topics.
Any questions let me know.
Hope to see you there.
Thanks,
Pat

Brushy Creek Master Class

Brushy Creek Master Class
10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31st at Living Waters
It’s no secret that Brushy Creek is the official “home water” of Living Waters Fly Fishing. The creek is extremely diverse in its habitat, aquatic insects, and resident fish species. Riffles, runs, pools, and tributary confluences are all present just minutes from the fly shop.
For many anglers, success is a struggle when fishing Brushy Creek and rightfully so, as it is a demanding fishery! Thankfully, Living Waters’ owner Chris Johnson has fished Brushy Creek for 30 years and will be compiling much of his knowledge of the fishery into this special presentation! He will cover predominate hatches, effective fly patterns, seasonal changes, fish species specifics, how to deal with changing conditions, access points, and much more!
If you would like to have more success on one of Central Texas’ premier fly fisheries, this is a presentation you will not want to miss! Bring a notebook, pen, and all of your questions for Chris
