TAMU Fly Club Presents : The Guad

This film was put together to share the story of the upper Guadalupe River near New Braunfels, TX. Listen on how the local Trout Unlimited chapter began and how their conservation efforts spread far beyond the Guadalupe. Thank you to all who supported us during the production of this video. NBFF Meeting this Wed 5/24 at 6:00 pm

Our May meeting will be on Wednesday, 5/24, 6:00 pm at the New Braunfels Public Library.  Our speaker for the evening will be Chris Jackson, Action Angler.  Chris subject will be “Fly Fishing Black Canyon”.  Board elections will also be held so bring your nominations.  Hope to see you there.

The good news is, we have more rain on the way! The bad news is we have more rain on the way.
Unfortunately this means we must postpone our ANNUAL BRUSHY CREEK ONE FLY TOURNAMENT, and further out than we expected. The tournament will now be hosted in the AFTERNOON of May 27th, following our TEXAS SNAKE ID class.
9:00 A.M. – Fly Shop Opens / Coffee & Donuts
10:00 A.M. – Texas Snake ID Class
1:00 P.M. – Mandatory One Fly Tournament Briefing
1:15 P.M. – Tournament Begins
4:45 P.M. – Tournament Ends
5:00 P.M. – Photo “Weigh In”
5:30 P.M. – Winners Announced or Tie Breaker Fish Off / Prizes Awarded
6:00 P.M. – Fly Shop Closes

BRUSHY CREEK ONE FLY TOURNAMENT

Our Annual BRUSHY CREEK ONE FLY TOURNAMENT is scheduled for this Saturday, May 13!*
In this creek tournament, anglers are presented with a particular challenge. Catch (and release) as many species as possible using only ONE fly! Not one pattern, one single fly.
There is no entry fee and no registration is required. Both traditional and tenkara style fly fishing are acceptable. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place!
