Five members of New Braunfels Fly Fishers took a roadtrip on December 12th to the Llano River near Castell to fish for state stocked rainbows. It was a chilly start, mid-thirties, but turned out to be a beautiful, bluebird day. The area is quite picturesque with clear, running water and large rock formations. The fish were plentiful and willing to eat our flies. Here is a picture of the group having a lunch of tasty, gigantic burgers at the Castell General Store. Keep checking the TPWD web site for stocking dates and locations. These are fun fish to catch.
