San Gabriel Fly Fishers Meeting

Our monthly club meeting is this Tuesday, August 16th. We will be joined by Mike Schlimgen of Project Healing Waters Fly Fishing, Inc. and Central Texas Flyfishers to discuss Fly Fishing on the San Marcos River. Join us at the Parks and Recreation Building – 1101 N College St, Georgetown – at 6 PM for fellowship or 7 PM for the presentation.
This discussion is perfect preparation for our next club outing to the San Marcos on the 20th!

Canyon Lake Release Advisory

Canyon Lake Release Advisory:
Due to downstream water supply demands, GBRA will be increasing the flow from Canyon Reservoir to 107 cfs until August 23, 2022. Property owners, recreationalists and other stakeholders should take notice of the changing river flows. Additional information about Canyon releases and other stream flow data may be found at https://bit.ly/2NI2HTz
And there are a number of boat ramps on the lake closed due to low water.

Minutes of NBFF Membership Meeting 07/27/2202

Minutes of NBFF Membership Meeting

07/27/2202 – Preiss Heights Park

Ron DeMeyer called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm at Preiss Heights Park.  Thanks to John Wortham for reserving the park for our meeting.

Ron said that he would try to reserve parking at John Knox Ranch after summer camp ends in mid-August for an outing on the Blanco River depending on water conditions.

The trout feeding team reported good numbers of trout to number 5 but water temperatures are increasing.

Brien reviewed the new LAP signup procedure.

The group approved giving a list of club member names to Gruene Outfitters.  This will enable us to get a 10% discount in their fly shop.

The August 24th meeting will be held at Preiss Heights Park.  The meeting will start at 6:00 pm.  We will fish until 8:00 pm then have a short business meeting.  The 7:00 pm start time this meeting did not leave enough time to fish.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20 pm.
