Troutfest Auction 1/2 day float

Troutfest Auction 1/2 day Float #2

A guided 1/2 day float trip in Central Texas with Action Anglers. Action Angler guides the Guadalupe River between Canyon Dam and the town of New Braunfels. We have been guiding central Texas rivers for over 10 years. The watercraft we use are whitewater rafts custom-designed for 2 anglers, complete with casting platforms and lean bars. These rafts are very stable and comfortable and are great for getting through shallow water.

The Guadalupe River has an abundance of fish species including Rainbow Trout, the state native Guadalupe Bass, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, several species of Sunfish, and Rio Grande Perch, all of which will take a fly. The best rod to use on this river is an 8 to 9-foot, 3-weight to 6-weight fly rod. Roll casting a nymph rig is the most commonly used technique for trout. Poppers and streamers are used for bass and perch.
